The Hole In The Wall Outfitters would like you to come and join us on a back country adventure. Our goal is to give our clients the most memorable back country adventure you will remember and talk about for years to come. We strive to give our clients a quality outdoor experience. I have guided in MT/ID for 25 years.

I pride myself on the personal experience between myself and clients. We are a small outfit and the most personal you'll find! Although we are not big on social media, we are found most at camp! So join me for an adventure of a lifetime.

About The Area

We operate on the Lolo National Forest and Clearwater National Forest in both Montana and Idaho along the proposed Great Burn Wilderness. Airport pickup in Missoula, MT (MSO), MT Hunting District 202, Idaho Unit 10.

Spring Bear: April - Mid June

Our bear hunts are as good as you will find often talking BC Bears. This is a two bear hunt with wolf included. Highly successful not physical and great for all hunters. Any weapon.

Archery/Rifle: September - November

If it's the close encounter with a bugling bull elk is what you are after, archery is for you. Or a high country rifle that's often only seen in paintings, we can set you up with a custom led trip.

Lion/Wolf Winter Snow Shoe Adventures: November - April

If you enjoy snow like we do, come see us late fall till early spring. Great family trips for all ages personally customized. Snow shoeing, winter cross country skiing. Backcountry animal viewing. Winter camps "you never saw so many stars". Unplug the family for a week and make some memories!

Summer Trips: July - September

We offer small getaways during the summer from pack trips over the state line to day rides, fishing trips and scenic floats. Make your arrangements well in advance and we will customize this. Although we don't hold a permit for the Alberton Gorge, we can get your whitewater experience lined up for you. We have added Guided Hikes and Raft Rentals also for 2022.

What to bring: Proper gear but remember some pack trips require you bring no more than 80lbs with a max 2 bags.

I strive at making the most memorable experience for my clients with safety first and foremost. Incremental weather can sometimes customize your trip for you! Our camps are smaller and operate usually 2-4 per trip not that we don't take smaller or larger groups. I have over 20+ years experience in our areas and love to share them with others. No adventure is ever the same and all come with a story at the end.
